DIVISIONAL BREAKDOWN:
Open: Open division teams are typically composed of players that are in good shape and want to play the fastest paced, most competitive game at the highest level we can offer. Characteristics include: showing up late, not having enough players and bringing one small bottle of gatorade for the whole squad. Once underway, the game is usually very skillful and entertaining. Crowds have been known to gather for Open division playoff games... on Saturdays anyway when you can see beautiful moves and touches on the ball. Sunday morning games are occasionally impacted by Saturday night activities.
Intermediate: This division is also competitive, but more relaxed than the Open Division. Intermediate division teams are still competitive but aren't in the 'World Cup' mindset. They want to play a good game but save enough energy for the nighttime social activities.
Recreation: This division is very relaxed, so relaxed that you often see players simply relaxing right there on the field. We find that this bunch of teams usually show up hours before a match with the cooler, kids and dog in tow. Once situated, these team tend not to move unless they're going home. We try to schedule all their games on adjacent fields so that don't have to move very far. Large tents, barking dogs & strollers usually make them identifiable from a distance.
